A VACO client is seeking an experienced Controller to lead all accounting and financial operations for a growing heavy/civil construction company. This role will oversee financial reporting, job costing, AP/AR, payroll, budgeting, cash flow, and compliance while partnering with executive leadership, estimating, and project management teams. Key Responsibilities Lead accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, and bank reconciliations Manage job costing, WIP reporting, change orders, and project profitability analysis Oversee monthly and annual financial reporting in accordance with GAAP Drive collections and ensure timely project billings Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and bonding capacity Coordinate audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance Oversee union payroll, prevailing wage, and certified payroll reporting Lead and develop the accounting team while improving processes and controls Join a company that plays a critical role in delivering infrastructure projects while offering the opportunity to influence business strategy, financial performance, and long-term growth.
