Proudly Made in America, our team works together every day in support of the country's lives and liberties.The RoleThe Controller manages the site's financial activities, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance. This role calls for a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively lead and influence a team. Reporting to the CFO, the Controller ensures financial reporting meets required standards in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).What You'll DoPrepare and publish timely monthly reporting and forecasted financial statementsSupport month-end and year-end close processesEnsure quality control over financial transactions and financial reportingManage compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filingsDevelop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain strong internal controlsProvide management with analytical support in financial aspects of business planning, including headcount projections and capital equipment planningInterpret the division's financial planning, forecasting, and measurement requirementsReview sales, cost, income, bookings, backlog, headcount, material, and other related dataAnalyze operational metrics - including MRB, labor utilization, excess and obsolete inventory, and material variances - to identify opportunities to enhance financial performanceMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and translate data into actionable insightsPartner with management to establish budget and cash flow forecastsLead by example, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvementWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldCPA or CMA preferred, though not required5+ years of relevant experience; manufacturing experience preferredThorough knowledge of accounting principles and proceduresExperience preparing financial statementsExperience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close processProficiency with accounting software, including system administrationStrong leadership and team management skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyZentech Manufacturing is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
