Overview

Olymel is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee the financial management of pig production activities within the Regroupement Porcin des Deux Rives (RP2R). The role involves ensuring financial information reliability, operational performance, and regulatory compliance while leading the administrative team responsible for financial information.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with the General Manager to manage financial activities related to pig production
  • Supervise the administrative team responsible for financial information
  • Produce financial statements, production cost analyses, and performance indicators
  • Develop and monitor annual budgets and analyze variances
  • Manage assets and optimize financial resources
  • Ensure compliance with government remittances and tax obligations
  • Coordinate financial audits and funding cases
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls
  • Participate in board meetings and contribute to strategic decision-making

Required skills

  • CPA Certification
  • Five years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls
  • Excellent analytical skills and results-oriented mindset
  • Experience in multi-entity or agricultural environments (a significant asset)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
