Overview

Primient is seeking a Control Systems Specialist to join their Decatur, Illinois plant. This role focuses on the field repairs of control devices and reporting to the Area Power & Controls Resource or Plant Coordinator. The company emphasizes a safety-first approach while providing a rewarding environment for manufacturing professionals.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform field repairs of control devices in production areas
  • Obey all safety rules and identify safety problems
  • Use precision-measuring equipment for performance testing during repairs
  • Follow SOPs and PM task instruction sets
  • Analyze and solve problems on various process systems & instrumentation
  • Configure and calibrate control system instruments with HART communicator
  • Troubleshoot motor control circuits and 4-20mA instrument control loops
  • Maintain and calibrate process analyzers and control valves
  • Interface with a CMMS for recording labor and spare parts
  • Communicate and work with maintenance mechanics and production technicians

Required skills

  • Knowledge of instrumentation, maintenance, and test equipment
  • Mechanical and electrical knowledge for process systems
  • Experience with PLC logic, P&ID drawings, and electrical schematics
  • Troubleshooting skills for Allen Bradley PLC systems, VFDs, and motor controllers
  • Understanding of industrial electrical equipment and process instrumentation
  • Basic Microsoft Office 360 software use
