Overview

TK Elevator Canada Ltd is seeking a Contracts & Risk Manager to oversee the complete contracting process, including negotiation and execution of contracts, change orders, and risk management. The role entails advising internal teams and clients on contractual obligations and managing disputes, while ensuring compliance and collaboration with various departments.

Key responsibilities

  • Review bid documents, contracts, and change orders
  • Negotiate and approve contractual terms
  • Manage the full contracting process from review to execution
  • Advise teams and customers on contractual rights and obligations
  • Drive the preparation and approval of change orders
  • Issue formal notices and coordinate recovery efforts with Finance
  • Mediate disputes and manage liens and security instruments
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure contract compliance
  • Educate internal staff on contract requirements and risks
  • Participate in weekly calls to review escalated accounts

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Finance, or Construction Management
  • 5+ years of experience in contract management or related fields
  • Strong knowledge of contract terms and commercial risk
  • Experience negotiating commercial agreements
  • Ability to read and analyze contractual language
  • Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract tracking tools
  • Experience in construction or industrial services (asset)
