Job Description

Overview

The Contracts & Estimating Assistant at Peek Pavement Marking will be responsible for gathering data, calculating charges and fees, and creating invoices for billing purposes. The role requires accuracy in billing data, general bookkeeping, and effective communication with customers.

Key responsibilities

  • Gather data for job costing
  • Verify accuracy of billing data and correct errors
  • Create itemized statements, bills, invoices, and other necessary billing documents
  • Record amounts due for services rendered
  • Perform general bookkeeping tasks including data entry and maintaining records
  • Contact customers to verify and update account information
  • Keep management informed and compile daily activity reports
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Proven accounting experience in billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to solve problems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • Minimum 2 years of accounting or billing experience required
  • Construction billing and Sage accounting software preferred
