Overview

The Contract Specialist at Catholic Health Services is responsible for maintaining contract documents and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. This role involves working closely with the Senior Director of Finance and the Contract Specialist to manage contract administration for various healthcare providers and handling legal document preparation.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain all documents related to contracted staff.
  • Ensure compliance by researching and analyzing law sources.
  • Manage all aspects of contract maintenance and administration.
  • Prepare legal documents such as contracts and affidavits.
  • Investigate facts and laws impacting healthcare and Hospice.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for contracted staff.
  • Prepare and process documentation for provider credentialing.
  • Ensure proper indexing and filing of legal documents.
  • Adapt to new processes for continuous improvement.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Extensive knowledge of standardized contracts
  • Three years of related experience as a legal assistant
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of office/clinical software
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
