Overview

IA Recruiting is seeking a Contract Accounting Lead for a 6-month onsite contract in Draper, Utah. The role requires strong accounting expertise and leadership skills, focusing on managing the accounting close process while ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage, coordinate, and lead a team in monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close activities
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting activities and ensure compliance with internal controls
  • Review key reconciliations and roll forwards
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results in accordance with US GAAP
  • Maintain compliance with global accounting policies
  • Document and review accounting standards and internal controls
  • Assist with quarterly and annual internal/external audit requests
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation

Required skills

  • 5+ years of accounting experience
  • Experience in big 4 accounting firms or public companies, preferably in the tech industry
  • CPA certification
  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with NetSuite
  • Experience with Blackline is a plus
  • Project management and team coordination abilities
  • Knowledge of GAAP Compliance
