Overview

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive measurable and sustainable improvements across operations and support functions. This role involves co-owning strategy development, coaching lean capabilities, and fostering a continuous improvement culture within the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Coach others to identify and reduce waste
  • Facilitate and lead cross-functional teams
  • Use data-based decision-making and problem-solving processes
  • Organize and lead Kaizen events and workshops
  • Develop lean capabilities across the organization
  • Document process and system improvements
  • Lead or co-lead facility and operations upgrades
  • Communicate effectively across various levels of the organization

Required skills

  • 2+ years of Continuous Improvement experience or relevant degree
  • Experience in lean methodologies and continuous process improvement
  • Understanding of TPS/Lean fundamentals (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, etc.)
  • Project Management experience
  • Strong computer and MS Office skills
  • Facilitation, team building and coaching skills
  • Ability to manage projects independently
