Overview

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to enhance targeted, measurable, and sustainable improvements across its operations. The role involves coaching lean capabilities and facilitating cross-functional teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement and effective problem-solving.

Key responsibilities

  • Coach others to identify and reduce waste
  • Facilitate and lead cross-functional teams
  • Use and coach data-based decision making and problem-solving processes
  • Organize Kaizen events and workshops
  • Train in the use of lean tools
  • Document and develop process and system documentation
  • Lead facility and operations upgrades or enhancements
  • Communicate effectively across various levels within the organization
  • Motivate others to engage and support the company's vision

Required skills

  • 2+ years of Continuous Improvement experience or relevant degree
  • Strong understanding of Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies
  • Experience with Kaizen, TPS, Lean Fundamentals (5S, VSM, Poka-Yoke)
  • Proficient in project and change management tools
  • Strong computer and MS Office skills
  • Effective communication and influence skills
  • Team building and facilitation skills
