Overview

The Consumer Sales Representative-Retail at TDS Telecom is essential for driving sales and enhancing customer satisfaction in retail settings. This full-time role focuses on providing exceptional service to both walk-in and inbound customers while achieving monthly sales targets for various telecommunications products and services.

Key responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed monthly sales goals for strategic products such as Voice, High Speed Data, TV, Mobile, and Internet.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to prevent customer churn.
  • Consult with customers to identify their technology needs and offer appropriate TDS solutions.
  • Handle cash management procedures accurately.
  • Maintain current knowledge of promotions, products, and technology.
  • Perform retail office responsibilities including restocking supplies and maintaining office cleanliness.
  • Participate in community events and collaborate with other departments.

Required skills

  • 1 year of experience in a sales or customer service role
  • 2 years of computer experience, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, or Excel
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Ability to handle a high volume of phone calls
  • Understanding of the telecommunications industry and products
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills for customer complaints
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment managing multiple tasks
