Overview

Mike Agruss Law is seeking a Consumer Rights Paralegal to join their fast-growing team focused on protecting consumers from unfair practices. The ideal candidate will handle client interactions, investigate claims, and assist in drafting legal documents within a collaborative and technology-driven environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed interviews with potential clients
  • Review documents, credit reports, collection letters, and account histories
  • Identify potential violations under consumer protection laws
  • Draft complaints and supporting documents for attorney review
  • Communicate with clients regarding case updates and needed documentation
  • Organize and maintain electronic case files in the case management system
  • Assist attorneys with litigation support and case preparation

Required skills

  • Prior experience handling consumer rights matters
  • Understanding of Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and Unfair and Deceptive
  • Experience drafting complaints and legal documents
  • Strong interviewing and client communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while managing a high-volume caseload
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable learning and using legal technology and AI tools
