Overview

The Consultant - Corporate Finance - Turnaround & Restructuring at Berkeley Research Group (BRG) in Boston, MA will provide strategic, operational, and financial advice to various clients including private equity firms and management teams. The role involves working on diverse turnaround advisory assignments and articulating findings around key financial and business issues.

Key responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day activities of client service teams on engagements
  • Execute multiple tasks across consulting engagements, including modeling and presentations
  • Perform financial tasks such as 13-week cash flow models and 3-statement models
  • Collaborate with team members and client contacts to achieve engagement objectives
  • Assist in preparing reports, analyses, and client deliverables
  • Participate in marketing, client pitches, and practice development

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, Management, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or related field
  • 4+ years of work experience in consulting or professional services
  • Experience in financial modeling and analysis, particularly in Excel
  • Ability to manage and analyze large volumes of financial and operational data
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Maturity, empathy, and intellectual curiosity
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • CFA, CPA, or technical GAAP accounting expertise is a plus
