Overview

The Consultant - Corporate Finance - Turnaround & Restructuring position at BRG is based in Boston, MA, and focuses on providing strategic, operational, and financial consulting to clients such as private equity firms and lenders dealing with underperforming companies. The role demands expertise in financial modeling and close collaboration within diverse teams to deliver effective turnaround advisory solutions.

Key responsibilities

  • Support daily activities of Corporate Finance - Turnaround & Restructuring client service teams.
  • Execute tasks across consulting engagements, including financial modeling and client presentations.
  • Utilize business, finance, accounting, and analytical skills for preparing cash flow and 3-statement models.
  • Prepare reports, written analyses, and presentations for clients.
  • Participate in the development and marketing of the consulting practice.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Management, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in consulting or professional services.
  • Expertise in financial modeling and analysis, particularly with Excel.
  • Ability to manage and analyze large volumes of data.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience collaborating with teams and interacting with different stakeholders.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
