Overview

Aszkenazy Development Inc is seeking a Construction Superintendent to oversee the development of a 27-unit affordable housing complex in San Fernando, California. This role involves full-cycle management from site mobilization through to project completion, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead all on-site construction activities and ensure adherence to project plans and schedules
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field staff
  • Maintain daily logs, progress photos, and reports using Procore
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
  • Conduct regular site inspections and safety meetings
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to resolve field issues
  • Manage material deliveries, equipment, and site logistics
  • Monitor project schedule and address delays or issues proactively

Required skills

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on multi-family residential projects
  • Experience with ground-up construction including podium and stick-frame structures
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification
  • Proficient in Procore for project documentation and communication
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of local building codes and inspection processes
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred
