Job Description

Overview

As a Senior Project Manager at Barringer Construction in Raleigh, NC, you will lead multiple complex commercial construction projects while mentoring project teams. This role involves building strong client relationships and ensuring project success from pursuit to closeout.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead multiple concurrent projects and high-performing teams, managing budget, schedule, and construction plans.
  • Own and deepen client relationships to strengthen Barringer's market presence.
  • Drive pursuit interviews, pricing efforts, and strategic decisions for project execution.
  • Negotiate contracts, create budgets, and develop cost projections.
  • Execute timely buyout and lead project closeout within 90 days.
  • Mentor and develop Project Managers, Assistant PMs, and Project Engineers.
  • Anticipate challenges and help teams navigate risk effectively.
  • Represent Barringer in client meetings, interviews, and presentations.

Required skills

  • 8-10+ years of commercial construction management experience
  • Proven leadership and team-building abilities
  • Strong business acumen around budgets, contracts, and cost projections
  • Advanced Procore skills; Procore certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Viewpoint
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office and Bluebeam
  • Mentorship mindset to develop team members
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
