Job Description

Overview

Hillis-Carnes is seeking a Construction Material Field Technician/Special Inspector for their Media, Pennsylvania office. This role involves field observations, sampling, and testing of various construction materials while working both independently and as part of a team on land development and construction projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct field observations at job sites
  • Sample and test construction materials including soil, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel
  • Prepare accurate daily logs of inspections and testing results
  • Communicate daily with Project Manager regarding project progress
