Job Description

Overview

The Construction Manager at SCOPOS Hospitality Group is responsible for overseeing all phases of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves direct management of contractor performance and site coordination, particularly in the higher education and private food service sectors.

Key responsibilities

  • Assume full ownership of projects upon turnover from Preconstruction
  • Manage all phases from mobilization through substantial completion and final closeout
  • Maintain and enforce project schedules while identifying and mitigating delays
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for General Contractors and subcontractors
  • Conduct regular site visits and field inspections to identify and resolve issues
  • Manage the submittal process during construction and oversee the RFI process
  • Track costs against approved budgets and review contractor pay applications
  • Lead the punchlist process and ensure all closeout documents are received

Required skills

  • 7-10+ years commercial construction management experience
  • Strong experience with interior renovations and active environments
  • Deep understanding of construction documents and coordination
  • Strong knowledge of submittals, RFIs, and change orders
  • Proficiency in project management software
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
