Overview

The Middlesex Corporation, a leader in the heavy civil construction industry, is seeking a Construction Laborer to join their team in Andover, Massachusetts. This role is essential in performing a variety of tasks that support construction projects while emphasizing safety and teamwork in dynamic outdoor environments.

Key responsibilities

  • Comply with and promote all safety policies and procedures.
  • Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate hazards.
  • Excavate by hand ditches or trenches and backfill excavations.
  • Load, unload, and distribute building materials according to project plans.
  • Position or dismantle forms for pouring concrete.
  • Complete equipment reports on machinery used.
  • Organize and maintain tool trailers in an orderly fashion.

Required skills

  • 2-5 years of Heavy/Civil Construction experience
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions
  • Good health and physical flexibility for strenuous work
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of safety procedures for tools and equipment
