Job Description

Overview

Doran Construction Company LLC is looking for a skilled and motivated Assistant Project Manager to join its dynamic team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role involves overseeing engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are finished on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget
  • Distribute various document types to involved parties, including meeting minutes and cost logs
  • Conduct weekly jobsite walkthroughs to address workmanship issues with subcontractors
  • Maintain relationships between owners, architects, project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors
  • Analyze and resolve work problems and determine alternate work methods
  • Assist the superintendent with daily roles and responsibilities, including producing RFIs and quality control walkthroughs
  • Ensure a safe worksite by verifying that subcontractors are properly wearing PPE

Required skills

  • Associate's degree in Construction Management or equivalent preferred
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office and relevant web applications
  • Strong communication and active listening skills
  • Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple project tasks
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Procore and Bluebeam experience preferred
