Overview

Amrize is seeking a Concrete Finisher - Lead Hand for their Saskatoon, SK location to manage municipal concrete construction projects. This role involves supervising a concrete crew and ensuring high-quality standards while maintaining safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate concrete crew activities to ensure safety and efficiency
  • Assist in preparing work sites, including setting up forms and pouring concrete
  • Operate and maintain concrete construction equipment and tools
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications and safety regulations
  • Train and mentor junior crew members in concrete construction
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and subcontractors
  • Monitor quality control to meet industry standards and client expectations

Required skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in concrete construction with a focus on municipal projects
  • Strong leadership and team supervision abilities
  • Proficiency in concrete forming, pouring, and finishing techniques
  • Knowledge of concrete curing methods and surface treatments
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and project specifications
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to use applications like Build2Win and SiteDocs
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations
