Plan, Organize, Direct, Control, and Evaluate Information Systems Operations Provide strategic leadership for the planning, organization, coordination, direction, and evaluation of the organization's information technology (IT) operations, ensuring that information systems effectively support business objectives. Develop short-term and long-term IT operational plans that align technology initiatives with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Oversee the day-to-day management of information systems, electronic data processing (EDP), cloud infrastructure, enterprise applications, and digital services to ensure operational efficiency and business continuity.2. Develop and Implement Information Technology Policies and Procedures Design, develop, implement, and regularly review organizational policies, procedures, and best practices governing electronic data processing, information systems management, software development, cybersecurity, data governance, and IT service delivery. Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) for system development life cycle (SDLC), software deployment, infrastructure management, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning. Develop information security policies addressing access controls, data privacy, system monitoring, backup protocols, incident response, and regulatory compliance.3. Meet with Clients and Stakeholders to Determine System Requirements Consult with internal departments, external clients, executive leadership, and business stakeholders to identify operational requirements and translate business needs into effective technology solutions. Conduct comprehensive needs assessments, business analysis, and feasibility studies to evaluate existing systems and recommend enhancements or new technology implementations. Prepare and review detailed project specifications, functional requirements, technical documentation, project scopes, implementation strategies, and service-level expectations.4. Assemble, Lead, and Manage Information Systems Teams Recruit, organize, and lead multidisciplinary teams consisting of software developers, systems analysts, network administrators, database administrators, cybersecurity specialists, telecommunications professionals, and technical support personnel. Assign responsibilities, establish project priorities, and coordinate team activities throughout the planning, development, implementation, deployment, maintenance, and support phases of technology projects.
