Job Description

Overview

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist I at SSM Health is responsible for performing diagnostic medical imaging under the supervision of radiologists and other medical staff. This role includes conducting CT examinations, ensuring quality control, and maintaining safety and infection standards within the hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform computed tomography examinations and produce quality images.
  • Assess vein/site selection and perform venipuncture as necessary.
  • Follow departmental policies and safety procedures.
  • Prepare documentation required by the profession and department.
  • Use Hospital/Radiology systems according to established policies.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area adhering to infection control standards.
  • Provide service excellence to internal and external customers.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities.

Required skills

  • Completion of Radiology program
  • ARRT-R and ARRT-CT credentials (within 12 months of hire)
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
  • Experience in patient care and safety protocols
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff
