Job Description

Overview

Concassés de la Rive-Sud inc. is seeking an experienced accountant to join their team in Lévis, Quebec. This role offers a direct pathway to a controller position as the current controller is retiring. Candidates will be trained and supported to take on the full responsibilities of the role over time.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure the smooth functioning of billing and receivables processes and propose improvements
  • Participate actively in month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Contribute to the accounting management of aggregates (inventory, production, etc.)
  • Perform billing during peak periods
  • Participate in the optimization of the accounting software
  • Carry out other related tasks

Required skills

  • Degree in accounting or finance (DEC, BAC or equivalent)
  • Experience in general accounting
  • Mastery of accounting software and Excel
  • Knowledge of billing processes, accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Ability to participate in month-end closing and payroll preparation
  • Knowledge of inventory and production accounting (an asset)
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Proactivity and ability to propose improvements
  • Willingness to learn and prepare for a controller role in the medium term
