Overview

BHE GT&S is seeking a Compressor Station Operator for their Leidy Station in Renovo, PA. The role involves overseeing the operation and maintenance of compressors, engines, and auxiliary equipment, ensuring safe and efficient gas operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Inspect engines, compressors, and auxiliary equipment
  • Monitor water and oil levels, pressures, and temperatures
  • Assist in the starting and stopping of engines and compressors
  • Perform repairs on engines and station equipment
  • Operate computerized station controls
  • Prepare records and reports as required
  • Perform general maintenance tasks such as painting and cleaning
  • Report suction and discharge pressures and calculate gas volumes

Required skills

  • Three months mechanical experience in industrial equipment or related fields
  • Documented computer skills
  • Ability to operate tools and equipment weighing up to 90 pounds
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Knowledge of safety rules and standard operating procedures
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting
