Overview

BHE GT&S is seeking a Compressor Station Operator to join their team at the Leidy Station in Renovo, PA. This role involves operating and maintaining compressors and auxiliary equipment, ensuring safety compliance, and performing general maintenance tasks.

Key responsibilities

  • Inspect engines, compressors, and auxiliary equipment
  • Monitor water and oil levels and temperatures
  • Assist in starting and stopping engines and performing repairs
  • Operate heating systems, cooling fans, and water pumps
  • Report suction and discharge pressures to Gas Control
  • Perform general repair and maintenance work including painting and cleaning
  • Prepare records and reports as required
  • Operate computerized station controls

Required skills

  • Three months of mechanical experience with industrial equipment
  • Documented computer skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to operate equipment weighing up to 90 pounds
  • Knowledge of safety rules and operating procedures
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
