Overview

BHE GT&S is seeking a Compressor Station Operator for their Leidy Station in Renovo, PA. The role involves inspecting and maintaining engines, compressors, and other station equipment while ensuring safety compliance and efficient operation in a natural gas environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Inspect engines, compressors, and auxiliary equipment
  • Check fluid levels and temperatures, and manage engine and oil pressures
  • Assist in operating and repairing engines and compressors
  • Report pressure levels and calculate gas volumes for dispatch
  • Perform general maintenance tasks, including cleaning and painting
  • Maintain records and reports related to station operations
  • Operate computerized station controls and adjust gas pressures as needed

Required skills

  • Three months of documented mechanical experience
  • Experience with industrial equipment, compressors, pumps, and engines
  • Computer skills and ability to operate computerized controls
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and tools
  • Problem-solving and data analysis skills
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and standard operating procedures
