Overview

BHE GT&S is seeking a Compressor Station Operator for their Leidy Station in Renovo, PA. The role involves inspecting and operating engines and compressors, assisting with maintenance, and ensuring safety protocols are followed while working in a team-centric environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Inspect engines, compressors, and auxiliary equipment
  • Check water and oil levels, temperatures, and pressures
  • Assist in starting and stopping equipment and make repairs
  • Operate space heating, boilers, cooling fans, and water pumps
  • Report suction and discharge pressures and calculate volumes
  • Perform general repair and maintenance tasks
  • Maintain records and prepare reports
  • Operate computerized station controls

Required skills

  • Three months mechanical experience with industrial equipment or natural gas systems
  • Documented computer skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment
  • Knowledge of safety rules and standard operating procedures
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
