Job Description

Overview

The Sterile Compounding Technician at Hydration Room is responsible for preparing sterile intravenous and intramuscular compounds in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role requires attention to detail and adherence to aseptic techniques and regulatory standards to support clinic operations and patient care across California's Hydration Room clinics.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounds using aseptic technique and USP 797/795 standards
  • Follow master formulas, SOPs, and quality assurance procedures
  • Document quality checks, calculations, and inventory records accurately
  • Maintain and operate compounding equipment and laboratory instruments
  • Organize and manage inventory of chemicals and laboratory materials
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance operational efficiency
  • Assist with the training and onboarding of new team members
  • Participate in educational and quality improvement initiatives

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Sterile compounding training or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years in an infusion, hospital, compounding pharmacy, or sterile laboratory
  • Strong understanding of aseptic techniques
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Multitasking and ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Professional communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office
  • Experience with SOP development or process improvements preferred
