Overview

As a Composite Technician at Middle River Aerostructure Systems, you will play a crucial role in fabricating and repairing complex composite and metal bonded assemblies. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail, who thrive on precision craftsmanship in a challenging environment involving advanced materials.

Key responsibilities

  • Fabricate and repair composite and metal bonded assemblies from engineering drawings and specifications
  • Prepare materials, molds, and adhesives for molding and bonding processes
  • Ensure precise alignment of components and assemblies to close tolerances
  • Conduct teardown of assemblies post-cure and clean bond tools
  • Utilize templates to cut materials and manipulate laminates to eliminate defects
  • Operate cranes, forklifts, and other equipment in compliance with safety procedures
  • Engage in collaborative work to meet business goals

Required skills

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Broad knowledge of bonding procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret complex assembly drawings and specifications
