Overview

The Compliance Testing Manager at Capital One is responsible for overseeing transaction and control testing to validate the effectiveness of processes and controls in mitigating compliance risks. This role involves managing a team of compliance testers, ensuring quality assurance in their testing efforts, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee transaction testing and control testing for compliance
  • Manage and develop a team of Compliance Testers
  • Develop and validate test plans to improve test design
  • Evaluate the accuracy of tests and adherence to procedures
  • Manage testing schedules for timely completion
  • Partner with business and IT to enhance data sourcing
  • Establish relationships with Compliance Advisors and Business Areas
  • Provide updates on testing status and support audits
  • Analyze data management processes for gaps and inefficiencies

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience
  • At least 5 years in financial services compliance, audit, or analysis
  • At least 2 years of people management experience
  • 6+ years consumer compliance monitoring or auditing experience preferred
  • Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) accreditation preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and conceptual skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Google and MS Office applications
