Job Description

Overview

The Community Manager at Wallick Communities will oversee the Linton Apartments in Indiana, working part-time for 20 hours a week. This role involves leading a team, managing financial responsibilities, and ensuring a positive living experience for residents. The company is employee-owned and has a mission to provide affordable housing and assisted living while fostering a supportive work environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead a team of leasing agents and maintenance professionals
  • Process community staff payroll
  • Ensure collections of all monies due to the community
  • Process community invoices for payment
  • Maintain acceptable levels of occupancy (minimum 98%)
  • Review rental applications for approval
  • Complete move-out paperwork according to governing regulations
  • Perform unit move-out, annual, and housekeeping inspections
  • Audit all resident files for completeness and correctness
  • Complete reports required by government agencies and the Company
  • Maintain the community to Company standards
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required skills

  • 1+ year of experience as a residential property manager or similar role
  • Experience with HUD/Section 8 is a plus
  • High school diploma or associate's degree preferred
  • Reliable transportation and strong work ethic
  • Commitment to exceptional resident service
  • Detail-oriented with deadlines and compliance focus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with Yardi is a plus
