Overview

The Community Manager III at Maiker Housing Partners is responsible for comprehensive property management, including marketing, leasing, member management, financial oversight, and maintenance coordination. This role entails achieving performance indicators, overseeing staff, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards while enhancing community living experiences.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement marketing and leasing plans for the community
  • Manage occupancy and rent revenues, including collection of delinquent rents
  • Direct member management and resolve complaints
  • Achieve net operating income (NOI) goals and manage property budgets
  • Oversee maintenance operations and coordinate with maintenance staff
  • Lead and train community staff, including Assistant Community Manager and Leasing Consultant
  • Prepare and submit financial and performance reports
  • Conduct events and foster community engagement

Required skills

  • 5+ years of experience in Community/Property Management in Affordable Housing
  • Certifications such as CAM, CAPS, or CPM
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of Yardi Property Management software
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English
  • Strong customer service, communication, organization, and planning skills
  • Experience with budgeting and property cost control
