Overview

The Community Manager for HUD-Affordable Housing at Pratum Companies is responsible for overseeing the operations of the property, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with housing regulations. The role involves implementing business plans, maintaining occupancy levels, and providing excellent customer service while fostering community engagement.

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for property and stakeholders.
  • Implement the annual business plan and oversee property operations.
  • Manage staff and ensure compliance with Fair Housing and operational policies.
  • Administer HUD recertifications and conduct inspections.
  • Oversee outreach, sales, and customer service efforts to achieve performance targets.
  • Evaluate market conditions and implement revenue growth strategies.
  • Resolve resident issues and ensure timely completion of service requests.
  • Prepare and submit financial and operational reports.
  • Conduct staff meetings and manage training initiatives.

Required skills

  • At least 3 years of property management experience.
  • Knowledge of HUD, LIHTC, Section 8, and Fair Housing Laws.
  • Professional certification: COS or TCS required.
  • Strong financial analysis and budgeting skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Yardi Property Management Software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with unit and common area renovations.
  • Attention to detail and independent work capability.
