Job Description

Overview

The Community Manager at Wallick Communities will oversee the operations of Salem Acres, ensuring high occupancy rates, financial accountability, and exceptional resident experiences. This role also involves leadership of a team, fostering an engaged work environment as a part of a 100% employee-owned organization dedicated to affordable housing and community support.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead a team of leasing agents and maintenance professionals.
  • Process community staff payroll.
  • Ensure timely collection of community funds and process invoices.
  • Maintain occupancy levels at a minimum of 98%.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with community owners and residents.
  • Conduct move-out paperwork and inspections as required.
  • Audit resident files for compliance and accuracy.
  • Complete required reports in a timely manner.
  • Maintain community standards and perform assigned duties.

Required skills

  • 1+ year experience as a residential property manager or 3 years in a managerial role.
  • HUD / Section 8 experience.
  • High School diploma or associate's degree.
  • Certifications such as COS, LIHTC, HCCP, AHM are a plus.
  • Reliable transportation and strong work ethic.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Deadline-driven with attention to compliance and quality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with Yardi.
