Overview

Wallick Communities is seeking a Community Manager for Thornwood Commons in Columbus, Ohio. This role involves leading a team focused on providing affordable and high-quality housing while ensuring operational excellence and financial responsibility.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead a team of leasing agents and maintenance professionals.
  • Process community staff payroll.
  • Ensure timely collection of rent and community invoices.
  • Maintain acceptable levels of occupancy (minimum 98%).
  • Perform inspections and audits on resident files.
  • Complete move-out paperwork according to regulations.
  • Maintain positive relationships with residents and owners.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Required skills

  • 1+ year of experience as a residential property manager or 3 years in a general manager role.
  • HUD/Section 8 experience is preferred.
  • High school diploma or associate's degree.
  • COS, LIHTC, HCCP, AHM certifications are a plus.
  • Strong dependability and work ethic.
  • Commitment to exceptional resident service.
  • Deadline-driven with a keen eye for detail and compliance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Yardi is a plus.
