Overview

The Piedmont Triad Regional Council (PTRC) is seeking a Community Development Director to lead a diverse department focused on housing and community development. This role involves managing services such as rental assistance, home rehabilitation, and project management while adhering to federal compliance and local government relations.

Key responsibilities

  • Direct housing and community development services
  • Manage Section 8 rental assistance and HOME investment partnership programs
  • Oversee compliance with housing finance programs including CDBG and Low Income Housing Tax Credit
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients and government officials
  • Report on program administration and project management
  • Travel throughout a 12-county region as required

Required skills

  • Experience in housing finance programs and community development
  • Knowledge of federal compliance regulations including Section 3 and Davis-Bacon
  • Bachelor's degree in community development, public administration, planning, or related field
  • Five years of progressive experience in program administration and supervision
  • Competency with the Integrated Disbursement and Information System (IDIS)
  • Valid North Carolina Driver's License
