Overview

DraftKings is seeking a Community Associate to enhance customer engagement and build an exciting sportsbook community. This role involves active participation in the official Discord server, supporting players, and executing community-driven campaigns alongside the Community Lead.

Key responsibilities

  • Engage authentically with players on the Discord server across various channels and live sports moments.
  • Respond quickly and helpfully to player questions and needs.
  • Create and execute community-focused campaigns, including giveaways and themed events.
  • Monitor player sentiment and behavior, sharing insights to improve products and the overall experience.
  • Uphold the brand tone and standards while advocating for the community's voice.
  • Support coverage during high-traffic sports events on evenings, weekends, and game days.

Required skills

  • At least 1 year of experience in community building or moderation, preferably in sports or gaming.
  • Deep familiarity with Discord and its moderation tools.
  • Ability to create engaging content tailored to specific communities.
  • Excellent written communication skills with a flexible tone.
  • Strong sense of urgency and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of Sportsbook or Daily Fantasy Sports products.
  • Experience moderating high-volume communities during live events is a plus.
  • Knowledge of responsible gaming practices.

What the company offers

  • Base salary range of 56,300.00 USD - 70,400.00 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
