Overview

Cuso International is seeking a passionate volunteer Communications Officer to support the Women's Centre of Jamaica Foundation in enhancing their communication strategies. The role involves managing social media, overseeing website content, and contributing to public relations efforts to boost the Centre's visibility and effectiveness in addressing gender equality.

Key responsibilities

  • Establish a vibrant social media presence and enhance audience engagement
  • Manage and maintain website content, including newsletters and blogs
  • Plan and execute training sessions for staff on innovative communication methods
  • Contribute to public relations initiatives, including compiling annual reports
  • Assess current communication strengths and identify opportunities for improvement

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, Public Relations, or Marketing
  • Experience in social media management and content creation

  • Training and development expertise
