Overview

Cuso International is seeking a Communications Officer to support the Women's Centre of Jamaica Foundation by enhancing their communication systems. This volunteer role involves managing social media engagement, overseeing website content, and developing branding materials to elevate the Foundation's mission and visibility.

Key responsibilities

  • Establish and enhance the Women's Centre's social media presence
  • Create and manage content for the website, newsletter, and blog
  • Plan and execute training sessions for staff on communication strategies
  • Contribute to public relations initiatives, including preparing annual reports
  • Assess communication strengths and identify improvement opportunities

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field
  • Experience in social media management
  • Skills in content creation and website management
  • Public relations experience
  • Ability to design and develop training materials
