Job Description

Overview

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join their team overseeing the commissioning of critical infrastructure for new construction and special projects. The role involves collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams to ensure safety, compliance, and efficiency in the commissioning of electrical, mechanical, and control systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate multi-discipline division of work for design review and commissioning
  • Support vendors, contractors, and teams in construction and commissioning of systems
  • Develop and review commissioning documentation such as test plans and reports
  • Ensure commissioning procedures comply with safety practices and policies
  • Audit commissioning activities for compliance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements
  • Proactively communicate with the ACx Regional Manager and the ACx team
  • Provide comprehensive weekly reporting of project status, lessons learned, and improvements

Required skills

  • 5+ years of engineering, installation, or commissioning experience with electrical and mechanical systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • High technical competency in mechanical or electrical or control systems in critical infrastructure
  • Experience reading and editing construction documents
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Strong communication skills, detail-oriented, and highly organized
