Job Description

Overview

The Commerical Painter, Foreman at Kaloutas in Manchester, New Hampshire is responsible for overseeing painting projects while actively participating in the work when necessary. This role requires strong leadership to manage a team of painters, ensure safety protocols are followed, and maintain communication with project managers.

Key responsibilities

  • Participate as an active painter to keep projects on track
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with site supervisors
  • Ensure equipment and materials are on-site as needed
  • Calculate production rates and estimated materials required
  • Communicate daily project status with Operations Managers
  • Bill customers for extra work outside of original scope
  • Assign tasks to painters and hold them accountable
  • Train painters on advanced techniques and equipment usage
  • Verify crew training on safety equipment and protocols
  • Conduct weekly Toolbox Talks and provide performance feedback
  • Collaborate with HR on crew attendance and professionalism
  • Adhere to all OSHA standards and other assigned duties

Required skills

  • 3+ years of experience as a painter or lead painter
  • Strong focus on safety, quality, and customer service
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Blueprint reading and basic calculations
  • Advanced knowledge of painting techniques
  • OSHA10 card; willingness to obtain OSHA30 card
  • Valid driver's license
  • High school diploma or GED
  • English communication skills
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physical tasks
