The Commercial/Residential Technician at PDQ Door Company plays a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of a range of products including garage doors and dock equipment. Based in Waterville, Maine, this position strives to deliver exceptional service and ensure customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

  • Install commercial and residential garage door products and related systems per manufacturer specifications
  • Service garage door products and related systems and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Identify and repair mechanical and electrical failures
  • Perform preventive maintenance services
  • Maintain inventory on the company truck and proper use of parts and tools
  • Keep documentation of services performed and amounts owed/paid
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment

Required skills

  • 2-3+ years' experience in garage door service/installation
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to arrive on time for schedules and appointments
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Customer service-oriented mindset
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Adaptability to changing work environments
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Preferred: 5+ years of applicable experience, Welding, OSHA 10, first aid, and/or CPR certification
