Overview

The Commercial Tire Technician at Thompson Tire & Service is responsible for providing tire services, including repair and inspection, for a variety of vehicles. The role involves both in-shop and mobile tire repairs, maintaining equipment, managing inventory, and ensuring safety standards are met.

Key responsibilities

  • Mount, balance, rotate, and repair all types of tires
  • Perform repair work both in shop and mobile as directed
  • Rack and hoist vehicles for inspection
  • Complete written vehicle inspections regarding tire service
  • Maintain stock supplies needed for repairs
  • Ensure service truck and equipment are in working condition
  • Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and report issues
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and work areas
  • Operate company vehicles safely and comply with regulations
  • Complete required training and maintain necessary certifications

Required skills

  • Experience with all types of tires, including heavy-duty and commercial
