Overview

The Commercial Relationship Manager I-III at Fresno First Bank is responsible for managing and developing business checking, deposit, and lending relationships while ensuring compliance with the bank's lending policies. This role involves soliciting and underwriting loans, generating new leads, and contributing to portfolio growth through strong client relationships and cross-selling bank products and services.

Key responsibilities

  • Solicit, negotiate, and underwrite equipment, commercial real estate, and business loans.
  • Generate new leads through calls, emails, networking, and in-person meetings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to drive business opportunities.
  • Perform pre-qualification assessments and analyze financial conditions of financing requests.
  • Coordinate processing of approved loans and ensure compliance with agreements and bank policies.
  • Contribute to profitability and implement marketing efforts to enhance branch and region presence.
  • Provide leadership and training to less experienced loan officers.
  • Foster a respectful and inclusive workplace in alignment with bank values.
  • Travel up to 75% for client meetings, presentations, and training.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in banking or financial services.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Advanced math skills for financial calculations.
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Knowledge of commercial banking products and federal compliance regulations.
  • Proficient teamwork and relationship skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
