Overview

East Texas Cooling Systems is looking for a skilled and experienced Commercial Refrigeration Technician to install, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration systems in diverse settings such as supermarkets and industrial facilities. The role emphasizes compliance with safety regulations and excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures in HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal system performance
  • Inspect system components like compressors and condensers
  • Recover and reclaim refrigerant in compliance with EPA regulations
  • Conduct safety inspections and adhere to safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and service logs
  • Provide excellent customer service at clients' facilities

Required skills

  • 3 years experience as a commercial refrigeration technician
  • EPA Section 608 Technician Certification (Type II or Universal preferred)
  • Knowledge of refrigeration cycles and parallel rack systems
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a drug screen
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions
