Overview

National Bank of Arizona is seeking a Commercial Portfolio Manager to join its Phoenix Metro Commercial Market. This role emphasizes identifying and developing lending opportunities, focusing on commercial loans while managing a portfolio of existing loan relationships and ensuring excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and service a portfolio of existing loan relationships
  • Expand and build relationships to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Analyze financial statements and monitor collateral requirements
  • Conduct credit analysis and assist with loan presentations
  • Handle reporting on loans, including past dues and portfolio profitability
  • Stay informed about financial and market trends affecting the portfolio
  • Assist bankers with loan requests and special projects
  • Potentially manage Analysts and Loan Specialists

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in banking, relationship management, underwriting and credit
  • Knowledge of various types of loans and credit analysis
  • Solid credit skills in underwriting and financial modeling
  • Strong customer service and relationship management abilities
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software
