Overview

The Commercial Portfolio Manager at National Bank of Arizona plays a crucial role in managing and servicing a portfolio of loan relationships while focusing on expanding and building client connections. This position is geared towards individuals who are passionate about fostering community relationships and helping clients achieve their financial goals through effective commercial lending practices.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and service a portfolio of existing loan relationships
  • Expand and build client relationships to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Analyze and spread financial statements, addressing industry risks
  • Monitor collateral requirements and loan structuring and pricing
  • Conduct credit analysis and monitor credit performance
  • Prepare reports on loan performance, past dues, and collateral exceptions
  • Stay informed about financial and market trends affecting the portfolio
  • Assist bankers with new and existing loan requests and special projects
  • May manage Analysts and Loan Specialists in senior level roles

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field
  • 2+ years of banking, relationship management, underwriting, and credit experience
  • Knowledge of various types of loans and credit analysis
  • Solid credit skills in underwriting, financial modeling, and valuations
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with software applications, including word processing and spreadsheets
  • Ability to meet deadlines
