Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per yearElite Sandblasting & Painting is seeking an experienced Commercial Painting Estimator / Assistant Project Manager to join our team.This is a full-time office and field position supporting commercial and government painting/coatings projects. We are looking for someone who can handle estimating and takeoffs while also assisting with project management, billing, documentation, and field coordination.Responsibilities:Perform commercial painting and coatings takeoffs from plans and specificationsPrepare estimates, proposals, scope reviews, and bid packagesReview Division 09 specifications, finish schedules, drawings, and addendaPrepare and track change ordersPrepare monthly payment applications and Schedule of Values updatesTrack retainage, billing, outstanding payments, and project financial documentationPrepare and maintain RFIs, submittals, product data, and closeout documentsAssist with certified payroll and prevailing-wage documentationCoordinate with General Contractors, Project Managers, Superintendents, vendors, and field crewsAttend jobsite walks, preconstruction meetings, and project meetingsMonitor job progress and document additional/out-of-scope workAssist with manpower, scheduling, material procurement, and project closeoutRequirements:Commercial construction estimating and/or project management experienceCommercial painting/coatings experience strongly preferredOSHA 30 Construction certificationAbility to read construction drawings and specificationsExperience with digital takeoff software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, STACK, or OSTExperience with payment applications, Schedule of Values, change orders, RFIs, and submittalsStrong Microsoft Excel skillsValid drivers license and reliable transportationAbility to work both in the office and on active construction sitesMust be able to successfully complete required employment background screening and satisfy applicable government/project site-access requirementsStrong communication and organizational skillsHighly Preferred:Government/federal construction experienceCertified payroll experienceDavis-Bacon/prevailing-wage knowledgeCommercial painting, industrial coatings, sandblasting, or waterproofing experienceExperience working directly with General ContractorsFamiliarity with AIA-style payment applicationsExperience managing multiple commercial projects simultaneouslyCompensation:Target Salary: $70,000 $90,000 per year, depending on commercial painting, estimating, project management, and government-contracting experience.Job Type: Full-TimeWork Location: Office & Field Jacksonville, FloridaWe are looking for someone who can become a key part of our operation, not simply perform takeoffs.
