Job description: Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, and case strategy documents.Conduct legal research involving case law, statutes, regulations, and secondary sources.Handle discovery and assist with deposition preparation and transcript review.Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and arbitration forums.Support matters involving settlement negotiations, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation.Collaborate with partners and attorneys on litigation and case strategy.Manage multiple matters, case files, deadlines, hearings, and conferences. Qualifications: Law firm litigation experience, preferably involving business and/or real estate litigation.Strong experience drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery documents.Advanced legal research and writing skills.Hands-on exposure to depositions.Familiarity with California state and federal courts, arbitration proceedings, and administrative hearings.
